Congratulations to all of the Honorees at the S.T.A.R. Awards by the Power of "S"!

The Power of “S” committee of teachers, parents, alumni and administration, collectively deliberated on the selection of the honorees. The most difficult task was to narrow down the 2016 choices. Several individuals met the criteria and we want to say congratulations to them and tonight’s honorees. The students were honored as rising stars by their demonstration of academic readiness and stewardship, high academic standards, leadership qualities, respected by their peers and are pillars in the community. Teachers are the best assets of any educational institution. Their hard work and sacrifice continues to prepare our youth to become productive citizens. We thank them for their dedication to their profession, their students and going above and beyond their call of duty! These teachers are leaders with The Key Club, The History Club, Teacher Leaders and have the strong connections with their students. Meet our modern day heroes, the Southern University Laboratory School Alumni, who make an impact on their community with their generous time, service and financial dollars. We identify these heroes for their contribution and their continued support of the Southern University Laboratory School.
