Meet our modern day heroes who positively impact students with the generosity of their time, service and financial backing. We identify these heroes for their contributions and for their continued support of the Southern University Laboratory School.
Mr. Baptiste was an accomplished football and baseball player at the Lab School. He pursued a career in journalism and became the first African American reporter on WBRZ. Southern Lab provided a foundation that established his foothold on life and helped facilitate the character that fostered his great career accomplishments, which include ownership of multiple Chicken Shack restaurants. “The Lab School has developed high quality students and more than 90% of my era have professional careers as doctors, attorneys, business owners, politicians, and more while making positive contributions to their community” ~ Henry Baptiste.
